Sattal is located in the Nainital District of Uttarakhand.

Sat Tal means “seven lakes”. The place is called Sattal because it used to be an interconnected group of seven freshwater lakes. The lake is situated near Bhimtal, a town of the Nainital district in Uttarakhand, India. Sat Tal offers adventure-seekers a wide range of opportunities like trekking, biking, abseiling, mountain biking, rock climbing, night-trekking, nature trails, backpacking, angling, kayaking, rafting, river-crossing, jungle-safaris, and night-camping. Boating and fishing can also be enjoyed at Sat Tal.
