Gaula River is located in Haldwani.

Haldwani is the second most populous city and largest commercial market in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is also the largest city in the Kumaon region. Haldwani is known as the "Gateway to Kumaon". Haldwani is located in the Nainital District and is one of its eight Subdivisions. The nearby cities are Nainital, Rudrapur, Mukteshwar.

 

About Gaula Barrage

Gaula (Gola) Barrage is located in the sleepy town of Kathgodam (Haldwani) in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. It is erected over Gaula River (also known as Gola river). It coordinates on latitudes 29°16'18" N and longitudes 79°32'51" E. The barrage serves as a prominent landmark for the local people. The Gaula Barrage is a vital source of water and is used for irrigating the Bhabhar fields.
