The national song of India is Vande Mataram. Which was written by Bankimchandra Chatterjee. After independence on 24 January 1950, Vande Mataram song was declared as the national song of India. This song is taken from the book Anand Math by Bankimchandra Chatterjee. The song Vande Mataram was originally composed in Sanskrit and Bengali by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee. It was first sung in 1896 at the Congress session in Kolkata under the presidentship of Rahmatullah M. Sayani.
