Dhwaj Temple
Dhwaj Temple is a very famous temple. It is located near Pithoragarh. The temple is situated at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level and offers an enchanting view of the snow-capped peaks of the mighty Himalayan ranges. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva as well as the temple is dedicated to the goddess Jayanti Mata who is worshiped by the local people. A cave temple of Lord Shiva is located 200 feet below the main temple. There are some legends about the establishment of this temple. There is a legend that states that the place was named 'Dhavaja' after Shiva and it was named by the ancestors of the 'Kapri' clan. It is also said that for about 50 feet in the cave for a long time, this place had the presence of Lord Shiva, so this land is also associated with "Khandnath".

18 km from Pithoragarh on Didihat road. There is a place named "Totanoula" at a distance of 3km from this place. This famous temple is situated after a long hard climb.
