Pichora - A Holy Traditional Dress of Uttarakhand
Pichora or Pichhaura is a traditional dress of Kumaon worn by women at ceremonies in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. It plays a vital role in the life of married women. Women wear this garment in all kinds of religious and cultural ceremonies including Marriages, Namkarans, and Janeus. It is necessary for women to wear this garment during their marriage rituals. It is considered sanctified, in Kumaoni Hindu traditions.

पिचौड़ा या पिछौरा उत्तराखंड के कुमाऊँ क्षेत्र में महिलाओं द्वारा समारोहों में पहने जाने वाला परंपरागत पोषाक है। यह विवाहित महिलाओं के जीवन में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है। महिलाएं इस वस्त्र को धारण करती हैं सभी प्रकार के धार्मिक और सांस्कृतिक समारोहों में जैसे विवाह, नामकरण और जनेऊ समारोह में। विवाह अनुष्ठानों के दौरान महिलाओं को इस वस्त्र को पहनना आवश्यक होता है। यह कुमाऊँ हिंदू परंपराओं में पवित्र माना जाता है।
