Munsiyari
Munsiyari is a very beautiful hill station. It is the frontier area of District Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand state which is bordered by the Tibetan border on one side and the Nepal border on the other. Munsiyari is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Opposite Munsiyari is the world famous Panchchuli mountain (five peaks of the Himalayas) of the huge Himalayan mountain range which according to legend is believed to be the symbol of the ascension of the Pandavas, Nanda Devi on the left and Trishul Parvat, on the right is Danadhar which is also a very beautiful picnic spot and the back is the top of the back.
History of Munsiyari
Munsiyari is also an important place from the Paranic viewpoint. It is said that the Pandavas started the ascension from here. Draupati had prepared her last meal before the ascension of the five Pandavas, it is believed that the five peaks of Panchachuli mountain reflect this.
