Nag Tibba means serpent peak, it is the highest peak in the lower Himalayas of the Garhwal region. It is also names the Nag Tibba Range, which is one of the three ranges of the Lesser Himalayas.

It is located 16 km (9.9 mi) from Landour Cantonment and about 57 km from Mussoorie in the Tehri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The 'Nag Tibba Range' is one of the three major ranges of the Himalayas, including Dhauladhar, and Pir Panjal, which are far from the Great Himalayas.
Recognition of snake dunes -
Nag dune is considered to be the abode of the 'serpent god' or the god of snakes, 'dune' is a local term for a hill or crest. Here the local villagers come to pray to the serpent god for the protection of their cattle.
The place is frequented by trekkers and adventure lovers for its scenic beauty and is at an altitude of 3048 meters. The winters are cold and the summers are pleasant, making it an attractive place to camp. This place can be reached by road from Dehradun. There are three routes to do this trek, one route from Devalasari and the other one from Srikot, the third from Panwari.
